This year saw Integrity Motor Yachts offer Nanni engines as an option for new builds. It was an exciting development, yet the results have been exceptional as the Nanni provides some of the best efficiency for our cruising yachts.
Nanni are a French-built engine which offer some of the best fuel efficiency and lowest emissions of any marine engines in the market. Our motor yachts are designed for long-range cruising so we were seeking a power pack option which would mean our owners would not return to land as often to refuel. Nanni offered reliable, efficient engines perfect for our vessels.
A number of new owners have selected the Nanni power pack and the results have blown us away. The Classic 440 Sedan has been fitted with a Nanni N6.285CR2 as it offers high torque at low revs (2500 rpm, with 6 cylinders in line, developing 284 hp). The fuel consumption for this vessel was quite stunning, with a consumption of a miserable 7.98 litres per hour at a slow cruise of 7.1 knots and 1400 RPM. When the speed was increased to a fast cruise of 8.5 knots at 1900 RPM, its consumption was still an impressive 17.4 litres per hour. That equates to over 80 engine hours or more than 700 nautical miles.
