Margaret and Allan Murphy are keen cruisers. Aboard their Integrity 38 Sedan, “Victory Lane”, a 2015 model that they bought in 2020, they enjoy regular sojourns with fellow owners at Southport Yacht Club where they have been members for 18 years.
Seasoned yacht owners, they had been looking for a displacement motor yacht to suit their aims of cruising the Queensland coast from their waterfront home on the Gold Coast.
“The 380 Sedan is ideal for us,” explains Allan. “It provides two cabins, plenty of headroom, low maintenance engine, solid keel and an aft section that can open up completely. We have been cruising with SYC and the Integrity owners’ group to Bribie Island, Brisbane River and Logan River.
“Day’s Gutter, Kooringal and Moreton Bay are our favourite places and we’ve notched up around 200 hours of cruising.
“The boat is nearly as economical as our sailing catamaran! We’ve only had normal servicing and replaced some original batteries.
“Our next cruise will be to the Great Sandy Straits, Fraser Island and Hervey Bay for three to four weeks with the SYC group in April May.”
